EBC Financial Group Review 2026: Regulation, Fees, Accounts and Risks
Advertiser disclosure: we may earn a commission if you open an account through our links. It does not affect our assessment. How we make money
Risk warning: CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Most retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. Consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
Note for India: EBC Financial Group is not authorised by the Reserve Bank of India to offer forex trading to Indian residents. Under FEMA, Indian residents may trade forex only in permitted currency pairs, through RBI-authorised persons, recognised Indian exchanges or RBI-authorised platforms. If you open an account with an offshore broker, you do so at your own risk. RBI Alert List
EBC Financial Group does not accept clients from your country, so we don't link to it here. See other brokers, and always check that a broker is authorised where you live.

Anyone expecting the FCA, ASIC or CIMA protection tied to the EBC name: those licences belong to other group companies
Optional Ultra Leverage up to 1:Unlimited, client money that may be held in one account with other clients, and negative balance protection that you must apply for and that stops at USD 1,000
Short answer: EBC Financial Group runs several licensed companies, in the UK, Australia, the Cayman Islands, South Africa and Mauritius. Its website says one of them, EBC Financial Group (SVG) LLC, is the company behind ebc.com, and the Risk Disclosure and Execution Policy for global clients are issued by it. The Professional account charges 6 USD per lot with spreads from 0.0 pips, the Standard account has no commission and spreads from 1.1 pips, and leverage goes up to 500:1 (more with Ultra Leverage in certain countries). We found no account minimum deposit, only limits per payment method.
How this review was made: we read EBC’s website, its help centre, the Risk Disclosure and Acknowledgement Notice, the Execution Policy and the Website Terms and Conditions, as of October 2026. We have not opened a live account, and we could not reach some regulator registers. Where EBC’s pages disagree, we show both figures.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Two simple accounts: commission-free Standard or raw-spread Professional at 6 USD per lot
- No fees on deposits and withdrawals, listed by EBC, and a local bank channel in many currencies
- Hedging and EAs are allowed, and a live account can be created in up to 30 copies
- Financial Commission membership for the SVG entity, with a compensation fund of up to EUR 20,000 per client
- Negative balance reset available on request, with a worked example in the help centre
- Own app, MT4, MT5, copy trading with published fee rules, and PAMM

- Ultra Leverage up to 1:Unlimited is offered in some countries
- Negative balance protection needs an application and is limited to balances above minus USD 1,000
- Withdrawals with open positions need a margin level of at least 200% (400% at weekends)
- Not available in the US, Canada, Malaysia and other listed places
Is EBC safe and legit?
EBC says on its homepage that “EBC Financial Group is a co-brand shared by a group of entities” (source). The entities it lists:
| Entity | Regulator | Number |
|---|---|---|
| EBC Financial Group (SVG) LLC | St Vincent and the Grenadines Financial Services Authority (“authorised”) | Company 353 LLC 2020 |
| EBC Financial Group (UK) Limited | Financial Conduct Authority | 927552 |
| EBC Financial Group (Cayman) Limited | Cayman Islands Monetary Authority | 2038223 |
| EBC Financial Group SA (Pty) Ltd | Financial Sector Conduct Authority, South Africa | FSP 51541 |
| EBC Financial (MU) Limited | Financial Services Commission, Mauritius | GB24203273 |
| EBC Financial Group (Comoros) Limited | Anjouan Offshore Finance Authority | L 15637/EFGC |
| EBC Financial Group (Australia) Pty Ltd | ASIC | 500991, ACN 619 073 237 |
Which entity holds your account? The Website Terms (source), the Risk Disclosure (source) and the Execution Policy (source) are all issued by EBC Financial Group (SVG) LLC. The homepage adds a compliance note that your rights “will be determined based on the entity and jurisdiction that you choose to be regulated”. EBC does not say how a client is assigned. Ask EBC in writing which company will hold your account.
What the other licences mean for you. EBC says its UK entity “provides its quality execution services for a wide range of products to professional clients only” (source). For the Australian company, the homepage says the products on its website are “NOT provided by the Australian entity and no recourse against the Australian entity is available”. EBC’s help centre and security page present the FCA, ASIC, CIMA and FSCA licences as proof that the firm is regulated (source), but a global client on the SVG entity does not get UK FSCS cover (up to GBP 85,000), which EBC itself ties to the UK firm.
The SVG authorisation. EBC’s footer says the SVG entity is “authorised by the St.Vincent and the Grenadines Financial Services Authority”, with no licence number or category. The authority’s entity search lists EBC Financial Group (SVG) LLC as number 353, type LLC, status Active, incorporated 4 May 2020 (source). That is a company registration. In a notice dated 2 February 2026 the authority says it “does NOT issue licences for Forex trading or brokerage activities in this jurisdiction” and does not license LLCs engaged in forex trading or brokerage (source). The notice does not name EBC. Read together, the register shows the company exists but we found no forex licence from the St Vincent regulator. We did not verify the other licence numbers on the regulators’ own registers, except ASIC’s dataset (see our EBC is it legit page). Treat the rest as EBC’s claims until you check them yourself.
Client money. EBC says funds are held in segregated accounts and that its UK and Cayman entities hold Barclays corporate accounts (source). The Risk Disclosure Notice, which applies to SVG clients, says “the Client Money shall be held on trust” and “segregated from our bank account”, but also “We may hold the Client Money and the money of other clients in the same account and it might not be possible to segregate the Client’s Money from the other client” (clause 5.4). It adds that if a bank or third party fails, “the Client may … lose the money deposited” (clause 5.6). The Barclays statements do not name the SVG entity.
EBC trades against you. The Execution Policy says “We act as a principal and not as an agent” and that “EBC is the sole execution venue” and counterparty to your trades, even when it routes orders to third-party liquidity providers. That is common for CFD brokers, but it means you carry EBC’s counterparty risk.
Compensation and complaints. EBC says the SVG entity is a member of the Financial Commission, whose Compensation Fund offers cover of up to EUR 20,000 per client, subject to its terms (source). To complain to EBC, the help centre says to email [email protected] (source). EBC also lists D&O, cyber and professional indemnity policies. These are company insurance, and EBC does not say they cover your trading losses.
Legal documents. The legal documents page lists four documents: Website Terms and Conditions, Risk Disclosure and Acknowledgement Notice, Privacy Policy and Execution Policy (source). We did not find a separate client agreement there, so ask support which document sets out your account terms.
India. We did not find EBC or ebc.com on the RBI Alert List updated 19 November 2025. That does not make it authorised in India. Under FEMA, Indian residents may trade forex only through RBI-authorised routes, so check the rules before opening an account.
EBC is a multi-entity group with licences in several jurisdictions, but the documents global clients sign come from the St Vincent company, and we could not verify its authorisation. Do not assume protection from the UK, Australian or Cayman licences.
EBC account types
EBC offers two live accounts (source):
| Standard (STD) | Professional (PRO) | |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum spread | 1.1 pips | 0.0 pips |
| Commission | 0 USD per lot | 6 USD per lot |
| Pending order distance | 5 pips | 0 pips (help centre) · 5 pips (website) |
| Maximum leverage | 500:1 | 500:1 |
| Trade size | 0.01 to 40 lots | 0.01 to 40 lots |
| Stop out level | 30% | 30% |
| Hedging and EAs | Allowed | Allowed |
The two EBC pages disagree on one detail: the help centre lists a pending order distance of 0 pips for Professional, while the account page lists 5 pips for both. The lot limits above apply to FX, commodities and index CFDs. Stock and ETF CFDs trade from 1 to 1,000 lots per order, and crypto from 0.01 to 10 lots (source).
One account can hold up to 30 live and 30 demo trading accounts. EBC says live accounts with no trading for 90 days and a balance below USD 100 are archived automatically (source). To open an account you must be between 18 and 65 years old (source).
Fees and costs
Spreads and commission. The Standard account has no commission, with a lowest spread of 1.1 pips. Professional has a lowest spread of 0.0 pips and a commission of 6 USD per lot, as listed on the account page. EBC does not state on that page whether 6 USD is per side or round trip, so check the contract specifications before comparing it with a broker that quotes per side. The forex page says “Trade with a minimum of 0 pips” on 37 currency pairs, and “Average execution speed of 20ms”. Those are EBC’s claims and we have not measured them.
Swaps. Swap is calculated at 00:00 MT server time (UTC+3), charged or credited depending on direction and the interest rate difference between the two currencies (source). Our guide to swaps in forex explains how to read them.
Stocks and ETFs. From 12 June to 31 December 2026, EBC says US stock CFDs and ETF CFDs carry 0 commission and 0 swaps, with a limit of 50 shares per order and 1,000 shares per position in each direction. Leverage on both is 5x (source). Positions closed after the campaign ends are charged the standard closing commission.
Deposit and withdrawal fees. EBC says it charges no handling fees on deposits and withdrawals, though some crypto providers, banks and card issuers may charge theirs (source). The funding page adds that your bank may treat a payment to EBC as a cash advance.
Copy trading fees. Signal providers on EBC’s copy trading set a performance fee of 0% to 20% and a management fee of up to USD 150 per cycle, paid by followers (source). Read what is copy trading first, because following a provider does not remove risk.
Leverage, margin call and stop out
Standard leverage. The account page and help centre give 500:1 on both accounts. The leverage page says EUR/USD and gold “typically offer up to 500x”, exotics such as USD/ZAR may only have 50x (source). The forex page also says “up to 500:1”, while the index CFD page says “up to 100:1” (source).
Ultra Leverage. In “specific countries and regions” EBC offers Ultra Leverage on forex and precious metals for live accounts, with these equity bands (source):
| Account equity (USD) | Maximum leverage |
|---|---|
| 0 to 500 | 1:Unlimited |
| 500.01 to 2,000 | 1:2000 |
Rules in the same FAQ: at most 200 open orders (positions and pending orders), automatic liquidation when equity falls below zero, and automatic deactivation when equity exceeds USD 2,000. During the Ultra Leverage period, the maximum withdrawable amount with open positions is 50% of the lesser of equity and balance. EBC says the option is not shown to everyone, and to contact customer service. We do not recommend leverage this high for any beginner.
Temporary cuts. Maximum leverage for new positions falls to 1:100 in the last hour before close from Monday to Thursday and in the last three hours on Friday. Around major data releases (NFP, CPI, rate decisions), from 30 minutes before to 5 minutes after, it falls to 1:200 (source). For energy symbols, EBC changed the rules from 6 August 2026: on accounts with 1:500 leverage or more, the maximum at normal hours is 1:100, dropping to 1:40 around data releases and 1:20 near close (source).
Stop out. Both accounts list a 30% stop out level. The Risk Disclosure says that when a stop out occurs, positions are force-closed “without any prior notice to the Client”. EBC’s example in the help centre calculates a stop out for 2 lots of gold at 1:500 leverage: required margin 1,294.10 USD, 30% of that is 388.23 USD (source).
Unlimited leverage means a very small price move can close a position. Beginners should stay far below the limits. Use our lot size calculator to size trades from the amount you can afford to lose, and read margin call and stop out to see what happens when margin runs short.
Negative balance protection. EBC’s help centre says “we will reset the negative balance to zero” and gives an example of a 50 USD balance falling to minus 100 USD. The conditions: the balance must be between minus 1,000 USD and 0, you apply through a button in the User Centre, and each account can apply once per hour. Balances beyond minus 1,000 USD are not eligible, and EBC says it “does not provide unlimited protection against negative balances” (source). The Risk Disclosure also says additional margin may be necessary “when the Account shows a negative balance”. So protection exists but depends on the conditions above.
Deposits and withdrawals
Minimum deposit. We found no minimum to open an account on EBC’s website or help centre. The limits are by payment method. The help centre’s Deposit Guidelines list (source):
| Method | Minimum | Per-deposit maximum (funding page) | Deposit time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Local bank transfer | USD 10 to 110, depending on region | 43,000 | 15 minutes to 1 hour |
| International wire | USD 1,000 | 200,000 | 3 to 5 working days |
| Cryptocurrency (USDT) | USD 50 | 50,000 | Instant |
| E-wallet | USD 50 | 10,000 | 1 to 15 minutes |
| Visa and Mastercard | USD 50 (funding page) | 5,000 | Instant |
The funding page shows local bank transfers as “10-43,000” (minimum to maximum), so it does not show the regional minimums of up to USD 110 given in the help centre. Card deposits appear on the funding page but not in the help centre’s list of minimums. Deposits must come from an account in your own name, and EBC does not accept third-party payments (source).
Withdrawals. EBC says requests submitted before 16:00 UTC+8 on working days are processed the same day, and later ones the next business day (source). The funding page gives the same cut-off as 11:00 GMT+3. The minimum withdrawal is USD 100 by local bank transfer or international wire and USD 50 by crypto (source). The funding page lists local bank withdrawals at 1 working day, wires at 3 to 5 working days, e-wallets at 1 working day, cards at 3 to 7 working days and crypto at 1 working day.
Three rules affect how you can take money out:
- Same method for your deposit. Principal must go back through the original deposit method, and only profit can use other supported channels. EBC returns principal first (source).
- Margin level of 200% with open positions. After the withdrawal your margin level must stay at or above 200%, and EBC’s risk team may reject a request that brings the account near a margin call (source).
- 400% at weekends. Weekend withdrawals and internal transfers with open positions need a margin level of at least 400% (source).
Platforms, products and tools
EBC offers MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and its own EBC App, and says you can use any EA (source). Products are forex, commodities, index CFDs, US share CFDs and ETF CFDs, and the account is one trading account for all of them. EBC’s homepage states that it “explicitly does not participate in any cryptocurrency activities or offer Crypto Contracts for Difference (CFDs)”, yet its trade-size help article still lists a crypto lot limit, so we could not confirm whether any crypto CFDs are offered. The ETF page says 100+ ETFs.
EBC also runs PAMM, where a manager trades pooled funds for investors, and copy trading in its app (source). Customer service is available around the clock by live chat or email at [email protected] (source).
Is EBC available in my country?
EBC’s website and help centre say it does not offer any services to citizens and residents of: Afghanistan, Belarus, Burma (Myanmar), Canada, Central African Republic, Congo, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Mali, North Korea, Russia, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Ukraine (including Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk), the United States, Venezuela and Yemen (source). The help centre article was updated on 12 September 2026 and says the list is updated regularly. We do not recommend offshore brokers to US residents.

Bottom line
EBC offers two clear accounts, 6 USD per lot on Professional and no commission on Standard, with MT4, MT5, its own app, no deposit or withdrawal fees and many local payment channels. The group also holds licences in the UK, Australia, the Cayman Islands and South Africa.
Global clients, though, deal with EBC Financial Group (SVG) LLC, for which we found no forex licence from the St Vincent regulator. The Terms say EBC is the counterparty to your trades and may hold your money with other clients’ money, negative balance protection needs an application and stops at 1,000 USD, and withdrawals with open positions need a high margin level.
Our recommendation: suitable for experienced traders who understand which entity they sign with, keep leverage well below the maximum and deposit only money they can afford to lose. Ask EBC in writing for the entity, the commission basis and the exact deposit rules before you fund an account.

Its Risk Disclosure and Execution Policy are issued by this entity, and its footer says it is authorised by the St Vincent and the Grenadines Financial Services Authority. Does EBC offer negative balance protection?
