Risk warning: CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Most retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. Consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
Note for India: EBC Financial Group is not authorised by the Reserve Bank of India to offer forex trading to Indian residents. Under FEMA, Indian residents may trade forex only in permitted currency pairs, through RBI-authorised persons, recognised Indian exchanges or RBI-authorised platforms. If you open an account with an offshore broker, you do so at your own risk. RBI Alert List

Short answer: We found no minimum deposit to open an EBC account on its website or help centre. What EBC publishes is a minimum per payment method: USD 10 to 110 by local bank transfer depending on region, USD 50 by cryptocurrency or e-wallet and USD 1,000 by international wire (source). EBC’s funding page also lists cards at USD 50 to 5,000 per deposit (source). EBC says it charges no deposit fee.

EBC minimum deposit by payment method
The help centre’s Deposit Guidelines article, updated 29 September 2026, lists these minimums. EBC adds that the minimum “may be updated from time to time depending on the payment channel”, so check the amount shown in your User Center before you pay. The funding page gives per-deposit limits and timing:
| Method | Minimum (help centre) | Single deposit limit (funding page) | Deposit time (funding page) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Local bank transfer | USD 10 to 110, varies by region | USD 10 to 43,000 | 15 minutes to 1 hour |
| International wire transfer | USD 1,000 | USD 1,000 to 200,000 | 3 to 5 working days |
| Cryptocurrency (USDT, TRC20 or ERC20) | USD 50 | USD 50 to 50,000 | Instant |
| E-wallet | USD 50 | USD 50 to 10,000 | Instant, 1 to 15 minutes |
| Visa and Mastercard | Not listed | USD 50 to 5,000 | Instant |
Sources: the Deposit Guidelines and the funding page. The funding page’s range for local banks starts at 10, so it does not show the regional minimums of up to 110. Cards appear only on the funding page. The help centre’s deposit limit article simply says limits vary by method and points back to the funding page (source).
Two other EBC statements affect the number you can actually deposit. If you plan to deposit or withdraw more than USD 50,000, EBC asks you to notify it by email one business day in advance (source). Wires are the slowest method, and the help centre says they are credited within 3 to 5 business days after you upload the remittance receipt (source).
Is there a minimum to open an account?
The account comparison in EBC’s help centre lists spreads, commission, leverage, lot sizes, stop out and a few other terms for the Standard and Professional accounts, and no minimum deposit (source). The step-by-step guide says you register, complete identity verification, then “open a trading account and make a deposit using one of the available payment methods to activate it” (source). So an account is opened first and funded second, and the amount you must send is the minimum for your chosen method.
We did not find a statement that a deposit under a certain amount is refused for either account type. If the figure matters to you, ask EBC support in writing.
What a small deposit buys
EBC’s minimum trade size is 0.01 lot on forex, commodities and index CFDs, and the maximum is 40 lots per order (source). The help centre gives the margin formula: current price x contract size x lot size / leverage (source). The maximum leverage on both accounts is 500:1 (source).
Our arithmetic, using an assumed EURUSD price of 1.15 and the 100,000 contract size:
| Trade | Margin at 500:1 |
|---|---|
| 0.01 lot (1,000 units) | 1.15 x 100,000 x 0.01 / 500 = 2.30 USD |
| 0.1 lot (10,000 units) | 1.15 x 100,000 x 0.1 / 500 = 23 USD |
| 1 lot (100,000 units) | 1.15 x 100,000 x 1 / 500 = 230 USD |
The danger is on the other side. Take a 50 USD deposit and a 0.1 lot position needing 23 USD of margin. The margin level is 50 / 23, about 217%. EBC lists a 30% stop out level on both accounts, which means force-closing starts when equity falls to about 6.90 USD (30% of 23 USD). That is a loss of roughly 43 USD. On 0.1 lot of EURUSD one pip is worth about 1 USD, so around 43 pips. A news spike can do that in minutes. Use our lot size calculator to size from the amount you can afford to lose, and read margin call and stop out.
Deposit size also touches Ultra Leverage, which EBC offers in specific countries and regions. The tiers are set by equity, not by a minimum deposit: 1:Unlimited for equity of USD 0 to 500 and 1:2000 for USD 500.01 to 2,000. New accounts show the options greyed out until you have made a deposit, and you then apply in the User Center (source). Our EBC leverage page covers the rules, including stop out at equity below zero.
Fees, rules and common problems
Fees. EBC says it does not charge any handling fees on deposits and withdrawals, though some cryptocurrency providers may charge theirs (source). The funding page adds that fees can arise on payments from certain international banks, and that your bank may treat a payment to EBC as a cash advance and charge you under its own rules.
Your own name only. EBC does not accept third-party payments. A deposit from an account in another person’s name is returned by the original route, and “any related fees and delays must be borne by you”. The funding page says payments from a joint account are accepted if you are one of the holders (source). The quoted wording is from the help centre (source). EBC can also freeze funds until identity and source of funds are verified (source). You may use several bank cards if all are in your own name (source).
Practical rules from the help centre. All come from the Deposit Guidelines II article:
- Click “I have completed payment” on the system page after you transfer. Without it the system cannot match the payment to your order.
- Do not fill in a remark on a bank transfer. Words such as “investment” or “forex” can make the transfer fail or be returned.
- Do not pay at a bank counter or ATM.
- For crypto, use the new receiving address generated for each deposit, never an old one.
- If a deposit has not arrived, email [email protected] with the receipt screenshot and the order number.
Verification first. The account is created only after identity verification (KYC) is approved (source).
Inactive accounts. EBC archives live accounts with no trading for 90 days and a balance below USD 100. An archived account can be reactivated only while its balance is above USD 0 (source). An account funded with less than USD 100 and then left idle falls under that rule.
Your deposit method also decides how you can withdraw
EBC’s rule is that principal must go back through the original deposit method, and only profit can use other supported channels (source). Pick a deposit method you can also withdraw to. The minimum withdrawal is USD 100 by local bank transfer or international wire and USD 50 by crypto (source), so a 50 USD wallet deposit cannot be fully withdrawn by bank. See our EBC withdrawal page for the full rules.
Where EBC is not available
EBC does not offer services to citizens or residents of the United States, Canada, Malaysia, Russia, Ukraine and 21 other listed jurisdictions. The help centre list was updated on 12 September 2026 (source). We do not recommend offshore brokers to US residents. Global clients deal with EBC Financial Group (SVG) LLC, as we explain in our EBC review and is EBC legit page.
Bottom line
EBC publishes no account minimum that we could find. The practical floor is the method minimum: USD 10 to 110 for local banks, USD 50 for crypto and e-wallets, USD 1,000 for wires, and USD 50 for cards according to the funding page.
Small deposits are allowed but leave a thin cushion, and a 50 USD account on 0.1 lot can be stopped out on a move of about 43 pips. Pay from an account in your own name, choose a method you can withdraw to, and only deposit money you can afford to lose.

Frequently asked questions
What is the EBC minimum deposit?
We found no minimum to open an account on EBC's website or help centre. The help centre lists minimums by payment method: USD 10 to 110 by local bank transfer depending on region, USD 1,000 by international wire, and USD 50 by cryptocurrency or e-wallet.
Is there a minimum deposit for the EBC Standard or Professional account?
The help centre's account comparison lists spreads, commission, leverage and lot sizes for both accounts but no minimum deposit. EBC says you must make a deposit to activate a new trading account, so the minimum that applies is the one for your payment method.
What is the minimum card deposit at EBC?
EBC's funding page lists Visa and Mastercard deposits of USD 50 to 5,000 per deposit. The help centre's list of minimums does not include cards, so the two pages are not identical. Confirm in the User Center.
Does EBC charge a deposit fee?
EBC says it charges no deposit or withdrawal fees. Some channels, such as cryptocurrency, can add a network fee, and your bank may treat a card payment as a cash advance.
How long does an EBC deposit take?
The help centre says deposits on working days usually arrive within 1 to 15 minutes, and international wires take 3 to 5 business days. The funding page lists local bank transfers at 15 minutes to 1 hour.
Can I deposit from someone else's account at EBC?
No. EBC does not accept third-party payments. Deposits must come from an account in your own name, and funds from a different name are returned by the original route, with any fees and delays borne by you. A joint account is accepted if you are one of the holders.
Do I need a bigger deposit for Ultra Leverage?
Ultra Leverage depends on your account equity, not a set deposit: 1:Unlimited for equity of USD 0 to 500 and 1:2000 for USD 500.01 to 2,000. You apply after making a deposit, and it is offered only in specific countries and regions.
