Privacy Policy
VestNorth (vestnorth.com) is designed to collect as little personal data as possible.
What we collect
- No accounts, no forms. You can read the site and use the calculators without giving us any personal data. Calculator inputs stay in your browser.
- Country detection. To show broker buttons only where a broker accepts clients, your browser asks our server which country your connection comes from. The country code is worked out by our hosting provider from your IP address. We don’t store it on our servers; your browser keeps it for the current session only.
- Privacy-friendly analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Umami Cloud (data stored in the EU). Neither uses cookies or tracks you across sites. They give us aggregated figures such as page views, time on page, referring sites, country and device type, and how often broker buttons are clicked. We can’t identify you from them.
- Google Analytics (only with your consent). If we enable Google Analytics 4 and you click “Accept” on our cookie banner, it sets first-party cookies (
_ga,_ga_*) to measure visits, pages viewed and how visitors find us. IP addresses are not logged or stored by GA4, and we don’t use it for advertising. If you click “Reject” or ignore the banner, Google Analytics is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. - Hosting logs. Our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
- Email. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
Links to brokers
When you click a link to a broker, that broker’s website has its own privacy policy and may use cookies to record that you came from VestNorth. We don’t receive your personal details from brokers, only aggregated reports.
