Genesis FX Markets Review 2026: Licence Claims, Accounts, Fees and Red Flags

Risk warning: CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Most retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. Consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
Note for India: Genesis FX Markets is not authorised by the Reserve Bank of India to offer forex trading to Indian residents. Under FEMA, Indian residents may trade forex only in permitted currency pairs, through RBI-authorised persons, recognised Indian exchanges or RBI-authorised platforms. If you open an account with an offshore broker, you do so at your own risk. RBI Alert List
Genesis FX Markets does not accept clients from your country, so we don't link to it here. See other brokers, and always check that a broker is authorised where you live.

No forex licence, a Terms document that claims regulation the Saint Lucia regulator says does not exist for forex, crypto-only funding and a 10x Challenge that may run on simulated capital
Short answer: Genesis FX Markets is run by Genesis FX Markets Ltd, an International Business Company registered in Saint Lucia under number 2026-00491. Its own Regulations page says that registration is not a financial licence, and Saint Lucia’s regulator says forex business is not licensed there at all. Accounts start at $10, leverage goes up to 1:500, trading runs on TradeLocker, and the deposit guides describe crypto funding with a withdrawal fee of about 1%.
How this review was made: we read Genesis FX Markets’ website, Help Center, General Terms (version 3.0, effective 1 January 2026), Risk Disclosure, Order Execution Policy, 10x Challenge Terms and the Saint Lucia FSRA’s warning notices as of October 2026. We have not opened a live account, so this review has no measured spreads or withdrawal times.

- The Terms promise negative balance protection for retail clients as "a contractual commitment"
- TradeLocker on web, desktop and mobile, with a trade journal and AI coach built in

Cons
- No licence from any financial regulator, so no regulator oversight, ombudsman or compensation fund
- The General Terms claim FSRA regulation, which the FSRA says forex firms cannot have
- Account line-ups, spreads, leverage and withdrawal times differ from page to page
- The company acts as principal: it is the counterparty to every trade
- 10x Challenge capital may be simulated, and profit above each tier target is removed
- Crypto withdrawals are irreversible, and the fee schedule can change without notice
Is Genesis FX Markets regulated?
No. This is the most important fact in this review, and the broker’s own documents contradict each other on it.
What the Regulations page says
The Regulations page lists one company: Genesis FX Markets Ltd, jurisdiction Saint Lucia, company number 2026-00491, regulatory status “Registered IBC”, registered office at Ground Floor, The Sotheby Building, Rodney Village, Rodney Bay, Gros-Islet. It then says: “Corporate registration in Saint Lucia does not constitute financial regulation, licensing, or supervision by any financial authority” (source). The same sentence appears in the footer of every page (source).
The page headline still reads “Secure & Regulated” and says Genesis Markets “operates under regulated entities”. The page lists no regulated entity.
What the Terms say, and what the regulator says
Clause 1.1 of the General Terms describes the company as “regulated by the Saint Lucia Financial Services Regulatory Authority”, and the closing line repeats “Regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia”. Clause 21.4 tells unhappy clients they “may escalate to the Saint Lucia Financial Services Regulatory Authority” (source).
The FSRA disagrees with the premise. Its warning notice of 8 January 2026 says “forex business is not licensed in Saint Lucia” and that documents from a forex company “which indicate that it is registered, licensed or in any way affiliated with the Authority are false and misleading” (FSRA notice, FSRA page). The FSRA’s website lists the sectors it supervises: insurance and pensions, credit unions, international banks, international insurance, international mutual funds, money services, registered agents and trustees, and virtual asset businesses. Forex or CFD dealing is not among them (source).
That notice names 16 other companies, not Genesis FX Markets. But it means the “regulated by the FSRA” line in the Terms cannot be true for a forex broker, and the complaint route in clause 21.4 leads to a body that does not supervise this business.
What protection you do not get
Because no financial regulator licenses Genesis FX Markets Ltd, an account there comes with:
- no regulator checking capital, client money or conduct;
- no investor compensation scheme if the company fails;
- no ombudsman. Disputes go to binding arbitration seated in Saint Lucia under UNCITRAL rules, with a small-claims option in your home courts for claims under USD 10,000 (clause 22);
- a liability cap of the greater of the fees you paid in the last 12 months or USD 5,000 (clause 16.2), plus a class-action waiver (source).
On client money, the Risk Disclosure says “we maintain segregated client funds” but that “there is no guarantee that all funds can be recovered in the event of insolvency or default” (source). We could not find the name of any bank or custodian holding client money, and no regulator checks the segregation claim.
How Genesis FX Markets makes money
The Order Execution Policy says the company “acts as principal and is the sole execution venue and counterparty to every Client trade”, with prices taken from liquidity providers “plus the Company’s mark-up” (source). Its Conflicts of Interest Policy, on the Terms page, adds: “A Client’s loss may correspond to a Company gain.” This is the market-maker model. It is common among offshore brokers, but here no regulator watches how that conflict is handled.
The TradeLocker FAQ describes the opposite: orders “routed straight to Genesis FX Markets’ liquidity” with “no dealing desk and no requotes” (source). The General Terms say orders may be “requoted, or rejected” (clause 7.1). Rely on the legal documents, not the marketing copy.
Age and track record
The About page says “Since 2023 we’ve been on a mission” and claims “70K+” active traders, “60B+” monthly volume and a “2.5 HR” average withdrawal time, as data “correct as of Jan 1st, 2026” (About, homepage). The company that signs client contracts carries the number 2026-00491, and its Terms, policies and sitemap are all dated 2026. We could not check any of these figures, and no audited accounts are published.
Genesis FX Markets is an unlicensed offshore broker. Its Regulations page admits this, while its Terms claim regulation by a Saint Lucia authority that says it does not license forex business. Treat any money sent here as having no regulatory protection.
Genesis FX Markets account types
The broker’s pages describe two different line-ups.
Account Types page
| GENFX | RAW | VIP | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum deposit | $10 | $500 | $25,000 |
| Spreads | From 1.2 pips | Raw from 0.1 pips | From 0.8 pips |
| Commission, FX / gold / crypto | $5 per side | $7 round turn | None |
| Commission, indices | $3 per side | $0.70 round turn | None |
| Leverage | Up to 1:500 | Up to 1:500 | Up to 1:500 |
Figures from the Account Types page (source).
Help Center version
The Help Center says: “Genesis offers three account types: GenFX Account ($10 minimum, zero commissions), ECN Account ($2,500 minimum, raw spreads) and VIP Account ($25,000 minimum, direct market access). Spreads start from 0.9 pips” (source). The homepage headline also says “Raw Spreads From 0.9 Pips”.
So the entry account is either commission-free or $5 per side, and the middle account is either RAW at $500 or ECN at $2,500. The Account Types page is the more detailed one, but ask support in writing which terms apply before funding. The Help Center says USD is the only base currency.
What a GENFX trade could cost
Using the Account Types figures: one standard lot of EUR/USD on GENFX at the minimum 1.2-pip spread costs about $12 in spread (1.2 × $10 per pip), plus $5 commission to open and $5 to close. That is about $22 per round trip, before swaps. On RAW, at 0.1 pips plus $7 round turn, the same lot costs about $8. These are minimums from the broker’s page, not measured costs. Our spread vs commission guide explains the maths.
The Markets page shows “Avg. spread (pips)” of 0.6 on EUR/USD, 0.8 on GBP/USD and 0.9 on gold (source), without saying which account they apply to. The Order Execution Policy says advertised spreads “are averages, not guarantees” and that commissions and swaps “may be amended at any time without prior notice”.
Leverage, margin and stop out
| Instrument (Markets page) | Maximum leverage |
|---|---|
| Major FX pairs (EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY and others) | 1:500 |
| Gold, silver, US and UK oil | 1:400 |
| Platinum, palladium, natural gas, major indices, Bitcoin, Ethereum | 1:200 |
| Other crypto (LTC, XRP, SOL, ADA, DOGE, DOT) | 1:100 |
| Share CFDs (Apple, Tesla, Nvidia and others) | 1:20 |
Source: the instrument table on the Markets page (source). The same page’s text says “leverage up to 1:500 on XAUUSD”, while its table shows 1:400 for gold. The Order Execution Policy caps leverage at 1:500 “across all instruments, subject to account type, exposure tiers” (source).
The stop-out level is 50% margin level, “subject to change on notice”, and positions may be closed without a margin call first (General Terms 9.2 and 9.3) (source). If margin levels are new to you, read margin call and stop out.
Negative balance protection: three different answers
- General Terms 9.4: for Retail clients, “your maximum loss is limited to the funds in your trading Account. This is a contractual commitment, not a discretionary goodwill measure.” It does not apply to Professional clients or where the deficit comes from prohibited conduct.
- Deposit & Withdrawal Policy 8.1: the company “may apply negative balance protection at its discretion” (source).
- Risk Disclosure 3.4: “your losses may exceed your initial deposit, and you may owe additional funds to the Company” (source).
The General Terms say product-specific terms prevail within their scope, which leaves the position unclear. And with no regulator behind it, a contractual promise is only as good as your ability to enforce it through arbitration in Saint Lucia.
Deposits and withdrawals
Deposits. The Help Center’s deposit guide covers “depositing funds into your Genesis account using cryptocurrency. Supported tokens include BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, XRP, DOGE, and more” (source). The homepage says deposits start at $10. We found no published card or bank-transfer option. The Deposit & Withdrawal Policy says methods “vary by jurisdiction” and that deposits to an unsupported network “may be unrecoverable” (source).
Withdrawal fee. “A withdrawal fee of approximately 1% typically applies” (Policy 4.2). On a $1,000 withdrawal that is about $10, before network fees. The policy adds that all fees are “indicative only and are subject to change at any time without prior notice”.
Withdrawal time. The figures disagree:
| Source | Withdrawal time |
|---|---|
| Deposit & Withdrawal Policy 4.2 | “Targeted at around 2.5 hours during business hours”, not guaranteed |
| Help Center withdrawal guide | “Typically processed in around 2.5 hours” |
| General Terms 6.4 | “Within 1–3 Business Days of approval” |
Rules that can hold money back. Withdrawals go back to the original method up to the deposited amount, only from free margin, and can be delayed for KYC, compliance reviews, chargebacks or a pending investigation. The Terms allow investigations of up to 60 days, extendable to 120 (clause 6.6). Crypto withdrawals are irreversible, and the company “cannot recover funds sent to an incorrect or incompatible address” (Policy 4.5).
Inactivity. An account with no trade, deposit or withdrawal for 90 days counts as inactive, and a monthly inactivity fee “may be charged”. The amount is “variable” and published only in the Client Area (source).
KYC: the Help Center says verification “typically takes 1-3 business days” and needs proof of ID and proof of address. The Terms name Sumsub as the verification provider.
The 10x Challenge: read the terms first
The 10x Challenge page promises “Ten times the capital”, a deposit “as little as $125”, a 10% maximum drawdown, and “Keep 100% of the profits you earn above your initial deposit” (source). It shows tiers of $125 to $1,250, $125 to $2,500, $500 to $5,500 and $125 to $10,000, and monthly leaderboard prizes of $500, $250 and $100.
The 10x Challenge Terms set different conditions (source):
- The extra capital is “non-withdrawable” Credit that “remains the property of the Company at all times”.
- “Allocated capital may be executed in a live or simulated environment at the Company’s sole discretion.”
- There are 11 tiers from $1,250 to $1,000,000 of starting equity. Each has a 10% profit target, and profit above that cap is removed when you move up a tier.
- Breaching the 10% drawdown, measured intraday and end of day, closes the account and forfeits the Credit.
- Withdrawals need at least 5 trading days; expert advisors and bots are banned without written approval; at most 20 positions can be open.
- Rules, targets and drawdown limits can change “at any time without prior notice”, and liability is capped at the fees paid in the previous 90 days.
In practice this works like a paid trading challenge, not a funded account. The “keep 100%” line applies only to profit within each tier’s cap.
Platforms, copy trading and other products
TradeLocker is the only live platform. Genesis offers it in a browser, as a desktop app and on iOS and Android, with TradingView-based charts and Bot Studio for automated strategies (source). MetaTrader 5 and a Genesis app are shown as “Coming Soon” on the homepage. A demo account is available. See what is a demo account for how to use one before risking money.
GenSocial bundles copy trading, signals, live streaming and PAMM accounts. The page claims “50+” active managers, “$10M+” under management and a $10 minimum investment (source). The Conflicts of Interest Policy notes that strategy providers earn fees linked to performance or volume, “which may incentivise higher risk”. Our copy trading guide covers the general risks.
Genesis Card. A Visa card funded from trading profits or crypto, with a one-time activation fee and 1% cashback, per the card page (source). The page does not state the activation fee.
Bonuses. The Bonus & Promotions Terms say bonus funds are “credit only”, profits from them need a turnover requirement before withdrawal, and an early withdrawal forfeits the bonus. The terms mention a seasonal code, NEWYEAR20 (source). We do not suggest taking a bonus at an unregulated broker.
Is Genesis FX Markets available in my country?
The broker publishes three different lists.
- Website Terms §8.2 (longest list): the United States and its territories, Canada, Japan, Australia, the United Kingdom, EEA member states, Singapore, Hong Kong, Israel, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Russia, Belarus, Myanmar, Sudan, South Sudan, Yemen, Somalia, Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Zimbabwe, and any country under comprehensive UN, OFAC, EU or UK sanctions (source).
- General Terms §23.1: the United States, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk.
- Website footer: “prohibited” for North Korea, Iran, Myanmar, Cuba, Syria and Russia; “non-solicited” for the US, Canada, UK, EEA, Australia, Japan, Singapore and Saint Lucia, where accounts opened “on the user’s own exclusive initiative” are said to fall under “reverse solicitation” (source).
The footer’s reverse-solicitation wording conflicts with both sets of Terms, which say services are not offered to these countries. The Website Terms also say an account opened in breach of the restrictions “may be closed without compensation”, and that using a VPN to hide your location can lead to forfeited profits. Follow the longest list.
United States: both sets of Terms exclude US residents. We do not suggest offshore brokers to US residents.
India: Genesis FX Markets is not named on the RBI Alert List (updated 19 November 2025). The RBI says the list is not exhaustive and that a name missing from it should not be taken as authorised. Under FEMA, Indian residents may trade forex only in permitted currency pairs through RBI-authorised persons, recognised Indian exchanges or RBI-authorised platforms, and Genesis FX Markets does not say it holds any Indian authorisation. If you are in India, weigh this legal risk before opening an account.
Regulator warnings we checked
As of October 2026, we found no warning that names Genesis FX Markets Ltd or genesisfxmarkets.com. The Saint Lucia FSRA notices of January and October 2026 name other firms. IOSCO’s I-SCAN database has one warning for “GenesisFX”, published by Ukraine’s National Securities and Stock Market Commission on 10 February 2025: it says the entity is “likely to be offering financial services to Ukrainian consumers” without a licence (source). The warning gives no website or company name, so we could not link it to Genesis FX Markets Ltd. Not being on a warning list does not make a broker licensed.
Complaints
The General Terms send complaints to [email protected], with an acknowledgement in 5 business days and a response in 30 days, or 60 for complex cases. The separate Complaints Handling Procedure sends formal complaints to [email protected], promises a response in 15 business days and a maximum of 35, and asks you to complain within 30 days of the event (Terms, Complaints Procedure). Both end at the Saint Lucia FSRA or arbitration. As shown above, the FSRA does not supervise forex firms, so arbitration in Saint Lucia is the only real outside route.
Statements are “deemed accepted” unless you object within 15 business days (Terms clause 19.1), so check every statement and keep your own records.

Bottom line
Genesis FX Markets offers TradeLocker accounts from $10, leverage up to 1:500 and a set of add-ons, from copy trading to a Visa card. Its legal documents are long and dated, and some of their terms, such as written timelines for withheld funds, read well on paper.
The problem is the base. The contracting company is a 2026 Saint Lucia registration with no financial licence, its Terms claim regulation the Saint Lucia regulator says forex firms cannot hold, it is the counterparty to every trade, and its pages disagree on accounts, fees, withdrawal times and negative balance protection.
If you still consider it, start on a demo, never fund an account from a restricted country, avoid bonuses and the 10x Challenge until you have read their terms, and only deposit money you can afford to lose.

Frequently asked questions
Is Genesis FX Markets regulated?

Does Genesis FX Markets accept US clients?
No. The General Terms say services are not offered to residents or citizens of the United States, and the Website Terms list the US and its territories as restricted. The website footer instead talks about reverse solicitation, so the documents are not consistent.
Is the Genesis FX Markets 10x Challenge real capital?
Not necessarily. The 10x Challenge Terms say the extra Credit stays the company's property and that allocated capital may be traded in a live or simulated environment at the company's discretion. Profit above each tier's 10% target is removed.
Is Genesis FX Markets on a regulator warning list?
We found no warning naming Genesis FX Markets Ltd or its website as of October 2026. IOSCO's I-SCAN lists a Ukrainian NSSMC warning from February 2025 about an unlicensed entity called GenesisFX with no website given, and we could not link it to this company.
