Short answer: VT Markets’ help centre says the standard minimum deposit is 50 units of your account’s base currency (so $50 on a USD account), and the standard minimum withdrawal is 40 units. Its account pages, however, advertise $100 for Standard STP and RAW ECN. It also says that, depending on your registered region and payment method, the minimum can be as low as $10. Always confirm the live figure on the Deposit page of your client portal before you pay.

Why VT Markets quotes three different numbers
VT Markets’ own pages do not agree, and each is correct in its own context:
| Where | What it says |
|---|---|
| Account pages (Standard STP, RAW ECN) | $100 minimum deposit |
| Help centre, general rule | 50 units of your account’s base currency |
| Help centre, regional note | As low as $10, depending on registered region and payment method |
We cannot tell which one applies to you without seeing your region and payment method. The help centre says to “refer directly to the Deposit and Withdrawal pages in the Client Portal for the most accurate and real-time limits applicable to your account.”
Minimum deposit and withdrawal by account currency
The help centre lists these limits for live accounts, in the currency of the trading account:
| Account currency | Minimum deposit | Minimum withdrawal |
|---|---|---|
| USD (US dollar) | 50 | 40 |
| AUD (Australian dollar) | 50 | 40 |
| CAD (Canadian dollar) | 50 | 40 |
| GBP (British pound) | 50 | 30 |
| HKD (Hong Kong dollar) | 400 | 300 |
| JPY (Japanese yen) | 5,000 | 6,000 |
| USC (US cent) | 5,000 | 4,000 |
Two things stand out:
- JPY accounts can withdraw only more than they can deposit. The minimum withdrawal (6,000) is higher than the minimum deposit (5,000), so a very small JPY balance may not be withdrawable.
- A USC account minimum of 5,000 is $50, because 100 US cents make one dollar. That is higher than the $10 and $50 figures some pages quote for Cent accounts, so check the portal.
For the full comparison of the accounts, see our VT Markets review.
What the minimum depends on
VT Markets states that actual limits vary with:
- Your registered region.
- The payment channel: e-wallets, bank transfer, cryptocurrency and local payment providers each have their own limits.
- The local payment provider behind that channel.
Treat the account minimum and the payment method’s own minimum as two separate limits, and assume the higher applies. If one method’s minimum is too high, check whether another channel in your region starts lower.
Which account for a small deposit?
| Budget | What to consider |
|---|---|
| About $10–$50 | The Cent account (MT5, forex, gold, silver and oil only). Confirm its live minimum, because VT Markets’ pages quote $10, $50 or 5,000 USC |
| $50–$100 | A Standard STP account, which has no commission, if your portal accepts a deposit this small |
| $100 and up | Standard STP or RAW ECN. RAW ECN charges $6 per lot round turn but has tighter spreads |
PRO ECN is an upgrade you qualify for by trading volume or balance, not a direct sign-up.
A small deposit limits how much you can lose, but only if you size trades to match. With high leverage even a small position can move a small balance a long way. Use our lot size calculator to keep each trade’s risk to a small percentage of the account.
Deposit fees and costs
- VT Markets deposit fee: none. The help centre says VT Markets does not charge a handling fee on deposits.
- Your provider’s fee: your bank, card issuer or e-wallet may charge its own fee.
- Currency conversion: the Client Agreement says VT Markets charges no fee for conversions, but a payment provider’s exchange rate can still cost you.
- Third-party payments: not allowed. Pay from a source in your own name.
Withdrawals work differently: bank wires have a monthly free allowance and e-wallets carry a percentage fee. See our guide to VT Markets withdrawals.
Is a low minimum deposit a good sign?
A low minimum is convenient, but it says nothing about how your money is protected. International clients contract with VT Markets Limited, registered in Mauritius, and several regulators have published warnings about the broker (see Is VT Markets legit?). Read the safety section of our VT Markets review before you fund any account.
Bottom line
Plan for $50 as the general VT Markets minimum, $100 if you want a Standard STP or RAW ECN account at the advertised level, and as low as $10 only where your region and payment method allow it. Check the Deposit page in your client portal for your exact figure, start small, and treat the deposit as money you can afford to lose.

Can I start with $10 at VT Markets?
Sometimes. The help centre says minimums can be as low as 10 USD depending on your registered region and the payment method you pick. Standard and RAW accounts are advertised at $100 on the account pages, so check the Deposit page in your client portal before you pay.
Why do VT Markets' pages show different minimum deposits?
The account pages show a headline figure ($100), while the help centre describes the general rule (50 units) and says regional and payment-method limits can be lower. VT Markets tells clients to use the live limits in the Client Portal.
What is the minimum deposit on a VT Markets Cent account?

What is the minimum withdrawal at VT Markets?
