Short answer: VT Markets says it takes no handling fee on withdrawals except repeat bank wires: the first bank wire each month is free, and every later wire that month costs a fixed amount equivalent to $20. Skrill costs 1% and Neteller 2%. The standard minimum withdrawal is 40 units of your account currency. Processing after approval ranges from 1 to 7 working days depending on the method. All withdrawals are subject to review, and the Client Agreement lets VT Markets delay or refuse them.

VT Markets withdrawal fees
| Method | Fee charged by VT Markets |
|---|---|
| Bank wire, first withdrawal of the month | Free |
| Bank wire, each later withdrawal in the same month | Fixed amount equivalent to $20 per request |
| Skrill | 1% processing fee |
| Neteller | 2% processing fee |
| Other methods | No handling fee stated |
Three withdrawals by bank wire in one month cost $40 in total (free, then $20, then $20). A $500 withdrawal costs about $5 by Skrill and $10 by Neteller.
Fees from other parties are separate. The help centre says intermediary banks, conversion rates and payment gateways charge their own fees, and that the amount you receive can differ because of exchange rates. VT Markets points to the withdrawal page of the client portal for the exact fee on your method.
Trading costs such as commissions and swaps are in our VT Markets fees guide.
Practical tip: if you withdraw often, batch your wire withdrawals into one request per month, or use a method without a percentage fee.
Minimum withdrawal by account currency
| Account currency | Minimum withdrawal | Minimum deposit |
|---|---|---|
| USD | 40 | 50 |
| AUD | 40 | 50 |
| CAD | 40 | 50 |
| GBP | 30 | 50 |
| HKD | 300 | 400 |
| JPY | 6,000 | 5,000 |
| USC | 4,000 | 5,000 |
The help centre says the minimum can be as low as 10 USD depending on your registered region and payment method. See our VT Markets minimum deposit guide for the deposit side.
How long do VT Markets withdrawals take?
VT Markets gives these times, counted after the withdrawal is approved:
| Method | Time after approval |
|---|---|
| Card | 3 to 7 working days |
| Local bank transfer | 1 to 3 working days |
| International wire | 3 to 7 working days |
| E-wallet | 1 to 3 working days |
| Crypto | 1 to 3 working days |
Your own bank or provider may add time on top, and we found no stated deadline for the approval step. Check your client portal for the time shown for your method.
The rules behind withdrawals
These come from VT Markets’ help centre and Client Agreement:
- Review and approval. Clause 2.6(e) of the Client Agreement says all withdrawals are subject to review and approval, and VT Markets may delay, restrict or refuse them, including during volatile market conditions
- No third-party payments. Pay out only to an account in your own name
- Bonus credit. The help centre says bonus credit is removed when you withdraw or transfer funds, and credit bonuses cannot themselves be withdrawn. Read the bonus terms before you opt in
- Open positions. Withdrawing reduces your free margin, which can raise your risk of a margin call or stop out. Keep enough margin for your open trades
- Dormant accounts. Accounts with a very small balance are archived after 90 days and cannot be reactivated, according to the help centre. Withdraw or use small balances before then
Step by step: making a withdrawal
- Log in to the VT Markets client portal.
- Check your free margin and close or reduce positions if needed.
- Open Withdrawal and pick a method in your own name, ideally the one you deposited with.
- Read the fee and limits shown for that method, then enter the amount (at least the minimum).
- Submit the request and follow its status in the portal.
- If the money does not arrive within the stated time, contact your bank or e-wallet first, then VT Markets support.
How safe is money waiting to be withdrawn?
The help centre says client funds are held separately from company money. The Client Agreement (clause 2.7) adds that segregation does not fully protect against loss, that funds may be commingled, and that VT Markets may use them to manage dealings with its counterparties. Because VT Markets Limited is a Mauritius entity, there is no compensation scheme like the UK FSCS, and several regulators have published warnings about the broker (see Is VT Markets legit?). Read the safety section of our VT Markets review before you deposit more than you can afford to lose.
Bottom line
VT Markets keeps withdrawal costs low: the first bank wire each month is free, repeat wires cost about $20 and only Skrill and Neteller carry a percentage fee. The trade-off is discretion. The Client Agreement allows VT Markets to review, delay or refuse withdrawals, so withdraw a small amount early to learn how the process works, keep your documents and payment details consistent, and never deposit money you may need at short notice.
