DB Investing Review 2026: Regulation, Accounts, Fees and Red Flags
Advertiser disclosure: we may earn a commission if you open an account through our links. It does not affect our assessment. How we make money
Risk warning: CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Most retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. Consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
Note for India: DB Investing is not authorised by the Reserve Bank of India to offer forex trading to Indian residents. Under FEMA, Indian residents may trade forex only in permitted currency pairs, through RBI-authorised persons, recognised Indian exchanges or RBI-authorised platforms. If you open an account with an offshore broker, you do so at your own risk. RBI Alert List
DB Investing does not accept clients from your country, so we don't link to it here. See other brokers, and always check that a broker is authorised where you live.
Experienced MT5 traders outside the EU, UK and North America who accept an offshore Seychelles broker and trade manually, without scalping or Expert Advisors on Raw or Pro
Beginners, scalpers, algorithmic traders on non-STP accounts, anyone who needs tier-1 protection, and residents of the EU, US, UK or Canada
Leverage up to 1:3000, a 25 USD monthly dormant fee, penalty and profit-forfeit clauses, and pages that disagree on basic account figures
Short answer: DB Investing is an MT5 CFD broker that says it was founded in 2018. Global clients sign with DB Invest Limited, a securities dealer licensed by the FSA of Seychelles (licence SD053), an offshore regulator. The Standard and Raw accounts start at 10 USD, forex leverage is advertised up to 1:3000, and the Terms and Conditions add a 25 USD monthly dormant fee and penalties of at least 500 USD for breaking its trading rules.
How this review was made: we read DB Investing’s website, Terms and Conditions and other legal documents, three regulator registers and the FCA and IOSCO warning lists, as of October 2026. DB Investing has no public help centre. We have not opened a live account, so there are no measured spreads or withdrawal times here.

Is DB Investing safe and legit?
For an account opened on dbinvesting.com, the company that matters is DB Invest Limited in Seychelles. The footer says the site “is owned and operated by DB Invest Limited, a Securities Dealer licensed by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) of Seychelles under license number SD053” and adds that “Only DB Invest Limited is using the MT5” (source). The Terms and Conditions name the same company and are governed by Seychelles law, with Seychelles courts having exclusive jurisdiction (Terms and Conditions).
DB Investing entities and what each licence covers
| Entity | Regulator | Reference | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| DB Invest Limited | FSA Seychelles | Licence SD053 | Holds global client accounts; runs MT5 |
| DB Invest (MY) Limited | FSC Mauritius | Licence GB25204845 (per DB Investing) | Investment dealer; licensed 14 November 2025 |
| DBInvest Financial Services LLC | UAE Capital Market Authority | Licence 20200000197, Category 5 | Introduction and promotion only |
| DB Pay Ltd | FINTRAC (Canada) | MSB registration M22286159 | Payments business; not a trading licence |
| Enigma081 Limited | None stated | Cyprus reg. HE 391568 | “Independent Representative and Distributor” |
Names and numbers come from DB Investing’s regulation page and footer (source). The registers showed, in October 2026:
- Seychelles FSA: The capital markets register lists DB Invest Limited as a securities dealer with the trade name DB Investing (FSA register). It shows an older office address than the website and no licence number, so SD053 comes from the broker’s documents.
- FSC Mauritius: The public register lists DB Invest (MY) Limited as an “Investment Dealer (Full Service Dealer excluding Underwriting)”, licensed 14/11/2025, with no annotations (FSC register). No document we read says it holds retail accounts.
- UAE Capital Market Authority: The record shows DBInvest Financial Services L.L.C as “Active”, established 11 June 2024, with a notice that it “is not licensed by the Capital Market Authority (CMA) to conduct brokerage activities in financial derivatives contracts” or spot FX and “holds only a Category 5 license” (CMA record).
- FINTRAC: DB Investing itself describes FINTRAC as Canada’s financial intelligence unit for money services businesses. That registration covers payments and anti-money-laundering duties, not CFD trading. We could not open the FINTRAC registry.
Page titles read “FSA, FSC, CMA and FINTRAC regulated” and the why-us page claims “Heavily Regulated Across 6 Continents” (source), but only the Seychelles licence sits behind a global client’s account.
What protection you do and do not get
- No compensation scheme. No DB Investing document mentions an investor compensation fund, and you get no FCA, ASIC or EU retail rules such as leverage caps or an ombudsman.
- Complaints. You complain to the company first, within 45 days of the incident according to the Terms and Conditions. The Complaints Handling Policy promises an acknowledgement within 2 business days and a final answer within 21 business days, or 90 days in complex cases, and then lets you escalate to the FSA Seychelles (source).
- Insurance. The insurance page says clients of DB Invest Limited are covered for up to US$50,000 per client, including balance and open CFD positions, but only if DB Invest Limited becomes insolvent (source). The page does not name the insurer or link to the policy terms.
- Client money. The cent account page says funds are segregated. The Terms and Conditions are less reassuring: clause 4.5 says the company “may deposit such funds with any financial institution including but not limited to such funds being used as collateral for the Company’s Transactions”, and clause 9.2 gives the company “all rights and authority concerning the Collateral until its withdrawal by you”. The safety-of-funds page lists banks and liquidity providers but says it is not “a representation that funds are protected in all circumstances” (source).
How DB Investing makes money
The Risk Disclosure Statement says “DB Investing acts as a counterparty to clients’ trades” (source), and the Terms and Conditions describe each contract as “an individual agreement between yourself and the Company”. DB Invest Limited takes the other side of your trade, so your loss can be its gain. No document says which trades, if any, are passed on to liquidity providers.
The footer risk warning is phrased as a win rate: “36.67% of retail investor accounts win money when trading CFDs with this provider”, which leaves roughly 63% that do not.
Regulator warnings
The FCA Warning List has no entry for “DB Investing” or “dbinvesting” (FCA), and IOSCO’s I-SCAN, which collects warnings from securities regulators, returned none naming DB Investing, DB Invest Limited or dbinvesting.com (I-SCAN). A look-alike name is a different firm: the FCA warned about an unauthorised “DBS INVESTING” in November 2023 (I-SCAN), and Belgium’s FSMA listed dbsinvesting.com as fraudulent. No warning list is complete, so a clean search is not an approval.
DB Investing holds a real Seychelles securities dealer licence and no regulator warning names it. That is a thin layer of protection: an offshore licence, a company-arranged insurance policy with no published terms, and client agreement clauses that give the broker wide power over your account and your balance.
DB Investing account types
| Standard | Raw | Pro | Cent | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum deposit | 10 USD | 10 USD | 5,000 USD | 1,000 USC (about 10 USD) |
| Spread from | 1.0 pip | 0.0 pips | 0.0 pips | 1.0 pip |
| Commission per side | 0 | 3 USD per lot | 1.5 USD per lot | 0 |
| Leverage up to | 1:2000 | 1:1000 | 1:1000 | 1:500 |
| Base currencies | USD, EUR, GBP, AED, SAR | USD, EUR, GBP, AED, SAR | USD, EUR, GBP, AED, SAR | USD in cents |
| Swap-free | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
Standard, Raw and Pro figures come from the account types page (source) and the Cent column from the cent page (source), which limits Cent to traders from “certain countries” and clients referred by its VIP introducing broker programme. If you are unsure how STP and ECN pricing differ, see ECN vs STP.
The pages disagree. The comparison table on the cent page lists the Pro minimum as $10,000 (not 5,000 USD), shows $0 commission on Raw (not 3 USD per side), puts maximum leverage at 1:3000 for Standard, Raw and Pro, and gives a stop-out level of 30% to 50%. The demo page shows Standard spreads “as low as 1.6” pips and Raw “as low as 0.1”, with leverage up to 1:500 on demo (source). The September 2024 Terms and Conditions still describe older types: STP Floating, ECN Floating, Islamic and PRO. Before you fund an account, ask support to confirm in writing the minimum, commission and leverage of the account you open.
Raw or Pro cost per lot. Raw costs 6 USD per lot round turn (3 USD each side) and Pro 3 USD. One pip on one EUR/USD lot is about 10 USD, so Raw’s commission equals about 0.6 pips of extra spread.
Leverage, margin and stop out
The trading conditions page lists these maximums for Standard, Pro and Raw accounts (source):
| Market | Maximum leverage |
|---|---|
| Forex | 1:3000 |
| Metals | 1:20 |
| Indices | 1:20 |
| Commodities | 1:10 |
| Stocks | 1:5 |
| Cryptocurrencies | 1:5 |
The dynamic leverage page then cuts forex leverage as each trade gets bigger (source):
| Trade size | Maximum leverage |
|---|---|
| 0 to 5 lots | 1:3000 |
| 5.01 to 10 lots | 1:500 |
| 10.01 to 20 lots | 1:250 |
| 20.01 to 50 lots | 1:100 |
| Over 50 lots | 1:50 |
The page’s 1-lot example is wrong: it applies 1:3000 but divides by 1,000, giving 110 USD of margin instead of about 36.67 USD. The FAQ says leverage “can range from 1:100 to 1:3000”.
The only stop-out figure we found is 30% to 50%, on the cent page; no legal document sets a margin call level. Our guide to margin calls and stop outs explains how these levels close positions.
At 1:3000, a 10 USD deposit can hold a position worth 30,000 USD, so a move of a few pips against you can close it. Size each trade from the amount you are prepared to lose with our lot size calculator, and keep leverage far below the maximum.
Negative balance protection: the documents disagree
- The FAQ says you “will not owe money to DB Investing if your balance goes negative due to adverse market conditions” (source), and clause 6.5 caps your loss at the money you paid in.
- Clause 4.5 lets the company “demand from you payment in full for any deficiency”.
- Clause 5.9 removes the protection from a bonus account if you open a complaint.
- The Bonus Terms (November 2025) say a losable bonus “may, in some market conditions, allow the account to reach a negative balance” (source).
The client agreement takes priority over an FAQ, so do not treat negative balance protection as guaranteed.
Fees
| Cost | What DB Investing says |
|---|---|
| Commission | Raw and Pro as above; share CFD commissions are shown in the platform |
| Overnight swap | 0.017% of the overnight exposure per night on all markets (trading conditions page) |
| Dormant fee | 25 USD per month after at least 60 days without opening a trade |
| Currency conversion | Market exchange rate plus a fee (amount not stated) |
| Deposits and withdrawals | No fee in the FAQ; the payment table shows 0 or “Not specified” |
| Account closing | Compliance checks of up to 10% of total deposits, minimum 500 USD (clause 7.5) |
Swaps: two figures. The trading conditions page charges 0.017% of exposure per night and books swaps at 22:00 GMT (21:00 GMT in daylight saving time), tripled on Wednesday for forex, energies and metals, on Thursday for crypto and on Friday for indices. The Terms and Conditions describe swap as “3% yearly, and up to 2% daily night on cryptocurrency”. 0.017% a night is about 6.2% a year, so the two documents do not match. Read how swaps work before holding trades overnight.
The dormant fee. Clause 4.8 says: “Each account will be subject to a monthly dormant fee of 25USD IF the account doesn’t open any trade for at least 60 days”, and that the fee “cannot be refunded”. A 10 USD account would be emptied by the first charge, so withdraw your balance if you stop trading.
Fees for deposits and withdrawals. One FAQ answer says “We do not charge any fees for deposits or withdrawals”. Another answer says zero fees “for most cases”, with fees possible on bonus accounts or some regional methods. Clause 15.2 keeps the right to charge for deposits, withdrawals, compliance and risk checks, account closing and fraud checks.
Trading rules and penalties
DB Investing’s Terms and Conditions restrict several trading styles and attach fixed penalties. As of October 2026 the web version and the September 2024 PDF contain the same rules (PDF):
- Prohibited strategies (clause 4.12): latency arbitrage, high-frequency trading, arbitrage, scalping and a form of gold (XAU/USD) hedging used to avoid swaps.
- Scalping (clause 4.13): an account where more than 10% of trades are scalps is a “Scalping Account”. Scalping is allowed only on STP accounts and only below 25% of trades. On other accounts, trades closed within 5 minutes can lead to “a penalty equal to the total profits gained on the trading account”.
- Penalty for abuse (clauses 4.10.6 and 4.14): account closure, all profits forfeited, and a penalty of USD500 or up to 10% of the deposit, whichever is greater. Related accounts sharing an IP address, email or phone can also be closed.
- Expert Advisors (clause 8.11.7): EAs are “not allowed unless the client has an STP account”. If you use one elsewhere, the company can keep any profit generated.
- VPN and remote desktops (clause 8.11.4): forbidden, with penalties from €500 to €5,000.
- Logins from different IPs (clause 7.4): a fine from 500 USD, up to 1,000 USD per trade, if someone else trades your account, and the account can be blocked for 90 to 180 days.
- Reviews and social media (clause 8.13): “If the Company discovers any negative reviews, comments, or posts on social media against the Company brand, management, or employees, the Company reserves the right to immediately terminate the agreement and hold the full account balance to cover legal fees and related damages.”
The marketing pages disagree: the MT5 page says the platform “has activated all Expert Advisors” (source) and the why-us page promises “no restrictions on EAs*”. The Terms and Conditions are binding, so use only a Standard (STP) account for EAs or short-term trades, and get written confirmation first.
Deposits and withdrawals
The payment methods page lists 77 methods: cards, bank transfers, wallets such as Skrill and PayPal, crypto, vouchers and local methods in countries such as Nigeria, Kenya, India, Indonesia and Mexico (source). 43 show “Deposit 0; Withdrawal 0”, 34 show fees as “Not specified”, and every timing reads “TBC”.
Withdrawal times depend on which page you read:
| Source | What it says |
|---|---|
| FAQ | Up to 1 hour to check the request; wire 2 to 3 working days, card up to 10 working days, crypto instant |
| Terms and Conditions 19.2 | Processed “within a few hours or a maximum of 48 hours”, excluding weekends and holidays, unless compliance checks delay it |
| Terms and Conditions 18.3 | Paid “no later than seven (7) business days” after the request |
| Terms and Conditions 10.1 | Withdrawals must be made “in writing, with prior notice to the Company of at least seven business days” |
| Why DB Investing page | “processed within seconds*” |
The minimum withdrawal by wire or card is 50 EUR or USD, and clause 19.1 asks for a signed “Request for Release of Funds” form. Money goes back by the deposit method, with card refunds capped at the amount deposited (clause 8.11.2). Clause 19.3 lets the company delay payment during a dispute or if paying “may cause undue risk to us”.
Bonuses and cashback
Two documents set the bonus rules, and they disagree. The Terms and Conditions (September 2024) require 10 instruments, 50% of trades held 30 minutes or more and 30% held overnight, and remove the bonus after 30 days or on any profit withdrawal. The Bonus Terms (November 2025) ask for five instruments instead (source) and add:
- Bonuses are usually granted on deposits of at least USD 100, and the company decides case by case whether you get a “losable” or a “leverage” bonus.
- If all your profit comes from one instrument, only 20% of that profit can be withdrawn at first and 80% is held until you trade at least five instruments.
- Trades closed in under 3 minutes may not count towards withdrawable profit, and accounts with a bonus can be given lower leverage.
The Genius Cashback programme pays USD 2 per eligible lot from 25 lots in 30 days, 3.5 USD from 100 lots and 5 USD from 300 lots, figures it calls “examples” (source).
Platform, copy trading and swap-free accounts
- Platform: MetaTrader 5 on Windows, macOS, Linux, web, iOS and Android. The FAQ also mentions a Sirix Web Trader.
- Copy trading: the FAQ describes DB Social, where you can allocate money to strategy providers and set risk limits. We did not find its fees. Our explainer on copy trading covers the general risks.
- Swap-free: the FAQ gives 3 swap-free days on Standard, 5 on Raw and 7 on Pro. The Terms and Conditions say 7 consecutive days, and the Swap-Free Policy says charges may apply after 14 (source). Ask which limit applies to you.
Is DB Investing available in my country?
The footer says DB Investing does not open accounts for residents of “the European Union, United States or any particular country or jurisdiction where such distribution or use would be contrary to local law or regulation”. Clause 27.2 of the Terms and Conditions is longer: DB Invest Limited “doesn’t provide Investment services in the EU, USA, Canada, Iran, Iraq, Armenia, Azerbaijan, UK any FATFA, or FATF-restricted countries” (source).
Canada, the UK and the EU are excluded although the group lists offices in Vancouver, Cyprus and Malta (source).
United States: US residents cannot open an account. We do not suggest offshore brokers to US residents.
India: DB Investing is not named on the RBI Alert List (updated 19 November 2025). The list does include “DBG Markets”, which is a different company (PDF). The RBI says the list is not exhaustive and that a name missing from it should not be taken as authorised. Under FEMA, Indian residents may trade forex only in permitted currency pairs through RBI-authorised persons, recognised Indian exchanges or RBI-authorised platforms. DB Investing lists India among the countries on its payment methods page but does not say it holds any Indian authorisation. If you are in India, weigh this legal risk before opening an account.
DB Investing alternatives
If you need retail protection, look for a broker regulated by the FCA, ASIC or an EU regulator for retail clients. If you scalp or run EAs, pick one whose client agreement allows them on every account type. Our guide on how to choose a forex broker lists the checks to run.
Bottom line
DB Investing offers MT5 accounts from 10 USD, a raw account at 3 USD per lot per side and forex leverage advertised up to 1:3000, run by a company with a Seychelles securities dealer licence and no regulator warnings against it that we could find.
The weak points are in the paperwork. The Seychelles licence is the only one behind global accounts, the UAE licence covers introduction only, and the Terms and Conditions add a 25 USD monthly dormant fee, fixed penalties, profit forfeits and a clause about negative reviews. Basic figures also change from page to page.
If you still go ahead, read the Terms and Conditions in full, get your account’s minimum, commission and leverage confirmed in writing, avoid any bonus, keep leverage low, and only deposit money you can afford to lose.
Frequently asked questions
Is DB Investing legit?

We found no regulator warning naming DB Investing, but its Terms and Conditions contain several clauses that are unfavourable to clients.
Which DB Investing entity holds my account?
DB Invest Limited in Seychelles. The website footer says it owns and operates the site and is the only group company using MT5, and the Terms and Conditions are governed by Seychelles law with Seychelles courts having exclusive jurisdiction.

Only for introduction and promotion. The UAE Capital Market Authority record for DBInvest Financial Services L.L.C carries a notice that the company is not licensed to broker derivatives or spot FX and holds only a Category 5 licence.
What is the DB Investing minimum deposit?
10 USD for the Standard and Raw accounts and 5,000 USD for the Pro account, according to the account types page. The Cent account starts from 1,000 US cents (about 10 USD). The cent account page lists 10,000 USD for Pro, so the two pages disagree.
What is the maximum leverage at DB Investing?
The trading conditions and dynamic leverage pages say up to 1:3000 on forex for positions up to 5 lots, falling to 1:50 above 50 lots. The account types page lists 1:2000 on Standard and 1:1000 on Raw and Pro.

Yes. The Terms and Conditions charge a dormant fee of 25 USD per month once an account has not opened a trade for at least 60 days, and say the fee cannot be refunded.
Does DB Investing allow scalping and Expert Advisors?
Only with limits. The Terms and Conditions list scalping, HFT, arbitrage and latency arbitrage as prohibited strategies, allow scalping only on STP accounts below a 25% ratio, and allow Expert Advisors only on STP accounts. Breaches can lead to forfeited profits and a penalty of 500 USD or 10% of the deposit.
