Short answer: Axi’s international account page gives a recommended minimum deposit of $100 for Standard and Pro accounts and $25,000 for Elite. These are recommendations, and we found no hard account minimum in the Product Schedule or Client Agreement. Each payment method has its own minimum, from USD 5 by card to USD 30 or 50 by crypto. The Product Schedule says card and other deposits are free up to US$50,000 a month, then 3.0%, while bank transfers are free.

Minimum deposit by payment method
Method minimums are lower than the account recommendation. Axi’s regional payment pages list these (all marked “Free” on the page):
| Method | Minimum | Maximum | Time to account |
|---|---|---|---|
| Credit or debit card | USD 5 | USD 100,000 | Instant |
| Neteller | USD 5 | USD 100,000 on the Asia page, USD 10,000 on the others | Instant |
| Skrill | EUR 5 | EUR 100,000 | Instant |
| PayPal (limited to certain countries) | USD 10 | USD 10,000 | Instant |
| International bank transfer | USD 10 | USD 1,000,000 | 1 to 3 days (Instant listed for North America) |
| Crypto (BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP, XLM, USDT) | USD 30 or USD 50, see below | USD 250,000 | Up to 15 minutes |
Sources: Asia, Europe, North America and Latin America.
Local methods have their own minimums that depend on the region. On the Asia page they include THB 500 for Thai bank transfer, MYR 50, PHP 2,500, KRW 15,000, IDR 200,000 and VND 300,000, plus QR payments from HKD 30 and SGD 10. Latin America lists BRL 53 for PIX, TED and Boleto. Africa lists USD 5 for local bank transfers and mobile money. Which methods you see depends on your region, and Axi says to check your Client Portal.
Crypto conflict. The Asia page lists a crypto minimum of USD 50. The Europe, North America and Latin America pages list USD 30. Both are on the live site, so the minimum you see may depend on your region. The Africa page also shows USD 30 as the crypto minimum, but its maximum column reads USD 30 as well, which looks like an error, so we do not quote it.
What a deposit costs
Axi’s pages do not agree on fees, and the contract is the more specific document.
- Axi’s Asia payments page: “Axi does not charge any fees for deposits or withdrawals, for any payment method.” It then adds that for credit cards and Neteller, Axi does not charge on the first $50,000 deposited each month and may pass on transaction fees above that (source).
- Product Schedule (effective 25 September 2026): bank transfers have no monthly limit and no fee. Card payments and other methods over US$50,000 a month cost 3.0% (source).
- Third parties: your bank may charge a receiving fee on international transfers, and your card provider may treat the payment as a cash advance (source).
So a $100 deposit by card or bank transfer is free from Axi’s side. The 3.0% charge only matters above US$50,000 in a month.
The Asia page also says all transactions are processed instantly on Axi’s side, then forwarded to card processors and your bank. It adds that the whole process can take “anywhere from 1 to 7 business days” to reach your account.
Deposit rules that catch people out
- Name must match. All funds must come from a bank account, card or other account in your name. If Axi suspects third-party funding, it may return the money to the remitter and keep the balance in your account until it verifies your identity and source of funds. Without verification it may stop you withdrawing that balance (source).
- Cards are refunded first. Withdrawals can go back to the card you used. Axi may only be able to return up to the original deposited amount to the same card, and refunds usually take 3 to 5 business days to appear on the statement.
- Small withdrawals cost money. Withdrawals are free above US$50 or for the full balance. Otherwise an administration fee of US$25 may apply. Plan a deposit that you can later withdraw cleanly.
Is $100 enough?
Axi’s recommendation is a guide to margin, not a rule. Using the Product Schedule’s EURUSD contract (1000:1 leverage, 100,000 EUR per standard lot, 0.01 lot minimum), a 0.01 lot position is 1,000 EUR of exposure. At 1000:1 that needs about 1 EUR of margin, before dynamic margin tiers or currency conversion. This is our arithmetic.
The risk is the other side. The Product Schedule says Axi may liquidate positions when equity falls below the 20% liquidation level. On a small account, a few pips against an oversized position can reach that level quickly. The lot size calculator shows how to size from your stop distance, and margin call and stop out explains the levels.
Which company holds your account
The axi.com/int footer says Axi is a trading name of AxiTrader LLC, incorporated in St Vincent and the Grenadines (number 4303 LLC 2025) and registered by the Financial Services Authority there. It is a member of The Financial Commission, and the site says it is not intended for Australian and New Zealand residents. The Client Agreement says information is not for residents of any country where the products are restricted (source).
That is not the ASIC, FCA or CySEC licensed Axi group. Read our Axi review for protection, negative balance and title transfer before sending money.
Bottom line
Axi lists $100 as the recommended deposit for Standard and Pro and $25,000 for Elite, with lower minimums per payment method starting at USD 5 by card. Deposits are free from Axi up to US$50,000 a month on card and other methods, and bank transfers have no stated limit, but its own pages differ on fees, so check the Client Portal. Open with money you can afford to lose and size trades so that a stop out is far away.
